Welcome to the Key Stage 1 Learning Support Centre!
Mrs Kernohan is our class teacher and Mrs Hutchinson is our full time Learning Support Assistant, we also have support from Mrs Doherty and Miss Wallace in the mornings. We have 11 children in our class this year 8 boys and 3 girls, ranging from Year 1 to Year 5.
We have lots of fun in class. In Numeracy and Literacy, we do lots of fun and practical activities to help us with our learning. We love our Interactive whiteboard and IPads, our favourite programme is Education City. We also enjoy Structured Play, Cookery, World Around Us, PDMU and PE.
The Topics we will be covering this school year are: School is Cool/Autumn, Toys-Past and Present/Winter, Transport and Spring and to end the year Farm Animals and Summer. LCS1 will again attend horse riding once a week at the RDA stables.
Each Friday we celebrate all our hard work and good behaviour with Good Work certificates, Dojo Awards and prizes! And of course Friday Play Time!
