Exploring the School in 3D!
26th Feb 2026
Primary 7 recently took our learning beyond the classroom as we became “3D Shape Detectives”! Using iPads, we explored the school grounds — including our fantastic nature trail — to identify and analyse real-life examples of cuboids, cylinders, prisms and composite shapes. It was so interesting to stop and see what shapes are actually all around us!
We examined the properties of each shape, discussed faces, edges and vertices, and considered why certain designs were chosen for strength, stability or efficiency. It was fantastic to see everyone applying their mathematical reasoning in such a practical and engaging way — proving that maths really is all around us!
